I haven't ordered GCMS note yet.... What do you suggest??? should I order or wait for some time???
Since your AoR is in Jan, I would assume that your eligibility is cleared, this is the most important. After the eligibility the only thing left is BGC. So it is entirely up to you if you want to order.

Every application proceeds at its own pace as evacuation application is different. Have faith.
Thanks that gives hope :)
I don't have any travel history and it's single applicant. I thought it should not take long. But it's CIC , anything can happen
Also i use yahoo, some one on the forum said mails are not getting delivered to yahoo mail.hence a bit worried

The most important factor in an application is A11.2 or the eligibility. This is where the IRCC will check your work experience, make sure what you have claimed is as per order and you meet the minimum program requirements. Unfortunately, to know this, the only way is to see your GCMS notes.

Once the eligibility is cleared, then comes the security, or BGC. Since it is done by CSIS, IRCC does not have much control over it. However, the average time for a BGC is 4-12 weeks. This depends on the application, past travel history, work history, and many other factors.

So if someone gets an PPR, who had the same AoR date, it does not mean that there is something wrong with your application.

Thanks you Legalfalcon!!! your reply gave me more hope..... could you clarify what's included in BGC except Security and Criminality (Knew this two terminology form the forums...) or any updated links that could explain more about BGC

Hi Legalfalcon, Do you know at what stage the application is transferred to Local VO and generally what is pending after that? I can see that people are getting PPR within 2 days after the file is transferred to local VO to the ones waiting for more than a month. Any insight here?

BGC is a complicated process. CSIS is assigned the task of doing BGC. There are many factors that go into it, which I have discussed in my previous posts.
Here is an old documents which might be helpful

Application undergo R10 and preliminary A11.2 (eligibility) at the CPO, and then sent to the LVO. What remains at the LVO, depends on the country it is being sent to. Smaller LVO has lost of their processing done at CPC or CPO. Bigger LVOs will also do final Eligibility and security.

The BGC has been changing from not started to not required and then going in progress. Some people claim that this could be a the criminality, but there is nothing certain.

If you BGC went to NA, then most likely you are at eligibility and waiting BGC. But to be certain, you should order GCMS and make sure there is no issue with your eligibility.

nice to see so many PPRs in the last few days... Not so nice to see so many people lose hope already... :( Guys - 6 months, if it crosses 6 months - then you have a reason to be a little worried (not too much, just a little) :)

For NDVO, the primary eligibility check is done at CPC, and then the final eligibility check is done by NDVO. NDVO is overburdened with applications. Depending on your application, after the eligibility is passed, it will go into BGC.
