Hi,
Greetings!

My name is Nikita Nepali. I am from India. I am 23 years old. I have completed my Masters in IT in June 2016 with no backlogs. It was 5 years of integrated course (3 years B.Sc.IT. + 2 years M.Sc.IT.). After completing master's last semester's internship. I have decided to go to Canada for further studies in the field of Database as I am very much interested in Databases. And that is why I started preparing for IELTS. I got overall 6.5 bands. (Listening 7, Writing 6.5, Reading 5.5, Speaking 7.5). After that, I applied in Lambton College of Toronto. I got admission in Computer Software and Database development program in May 2017 intake. I have paid first semester fees and GIC amount.

In March 2017 I applied for the visa and in April 2017 I got a rejection with "Other Reasons" marked. I was very sad because I actually feel that I was a deserving candidate and meet all the requirements. I haven't given up. I applied for CAIPS note. I received it on 1st June. It explains,

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B83X4qEagR1fUWRLaWk1dlc4ZFE

My Academic Profile:
10th Standard: 82 % (Passed out in 2009)
12th Standard: 70% (Science-B group) (Passed out in 2011)
B.Sc.IT: 7.1 CGPA (Passed out in 2014)
M.Sc.IT: 8.02 CGPA (Passed out in 2016)
I have also submitted my semester project training certificate of experience. I think they have misunderstood with my academic. They thought I was doing the job instead of semester training.

Now I am planning to re-apply in the middle of this month(June 2017) because I have extension letter from Lambton College in Toronto for the same course in September intake 2017. I have received the offer letter too for September intake.

Please guide me regarding necessary changes in next application. I feel that my time is being wasted. I really want to get visa this time without any issues. I don't want to do any mistake in my file and documents. Please help me!

You want to reapply with a stronger SOP. It is not clear to the VO why you're aiming for a second masters degree. You must explain your interest in the databases field and tell him how it relates to your career objectives.

The main issue is with the level of your course. You have already done Masters and after that, you are choosing to do PG Diploma which is a lower level than Masters. You must change your course and the level. Take guidance from experts. In my opinion, you should not choose the same course for applying again. If you want to do this course only, then you have to convince VO in the SOP why you want to pursue this level of course!

1. This VO is an idiot. If s/he looked at the dates of the marksheets (something they do as a routine), it would be clear that the degree was integrated. you may get a letter from your institute stating for the fact. If impossible, at least explain that in LOE.

2. Your application has weakness as proposed study level is lower than last degree. Either write super strong SOP to explain how this lower level study will help you to progress in career or just give up this one and find a PhD (at least masters) before you reapply.

Thanks, all of you. I am also thinking to make very strong SOP that indicates everything regarding my academics clearly. And yeah! I will also get the letter from my university that indicates that I have done integrated course in India.

Does your transcript/marksheet say that it was a full-time integrated bachelor's+master's degree? If not, better explain that clearly next time.

Despite all of that, doing a PG diploma after a master's degree is anyway not gonna work out even if you do apply with a stronger SOP.

You like databases? Do another master's degree with a specialization or thesis in databases.

Otherwise it's pretty clear to anyone why you would want to go to a basic college for a basic course

"PA has already achieved her master's degree in science and IT in June 2016, which is believed to have been accomplished part time as she started her masters in July 2011 and completed them 5 years later, in June 2016 while also working as an android developer". And it also says that "I am not satisfied that proposed studies are resonable in light of educational background". It clearly seen that he misunderstood your 3 bachelor + 2 master degree for parttime 5 years master degree. This can be one of the issue for your rejection that you took much time to complete your master degree and hence VO concluded "not satisfied with educational background".

Yes you are right... in re-application I am going to make VO understand that it was full time 5 years of dual degree program. I will try to clear the misunderstanding..
