I don't understand why there is so much whinging. CIC say 6 months for a final decision, so anything less than that is a bonus. If you haven't been waiting for 6 months yet, then shut up and be patient. And STOP wasting their time and energy asking questions and requesting your record notes. Has it ever occurred to you that this might be a drain on their resources, and not actually be of any real use to you? If they want something from you, they will ask. There are many reasons why some applications will be determined more quickly than others, reasons that affect all bureaucracies. How over worked your case officer is, if they've been off sick, accidental mistakes that cause delays, outbreaks of maternity leave in particular teams. Etc. What worries me is how many wimps are trying to move to Canada. Chill out guys!
I feel you and it's so easy to think of a situation why a case might not have any action for a month....let's say the officer took a week off....came back and had some urgent cases to fix first...then got sick due to bad food he ate during vacation...then came back and realised the boss needs some action on a different group....there goes four weeks...so yes I think we need to calm the fish down here

I went NA-NBG-IP....So I presumed it is IP2.

Also, I think it's good time to confess why I removed my case from immitracker. I had put it there initially but then I realised I am an outlier due to trips to "the dark places" and also one PCC short....and so I thought my case will drag on much longer than other FSWO....but surprisingly I am at IP2 at about the same time as others in Feb group....but yeah now I am stuck at IP2 for a week....so keeping fingers crossed
Yes it is IP2 and will hear good news soon !! All the best. You can always join the tracker back :)

I am a girl who hasn't gone anywhere except 2 cities, have a very conventional (study+job) history with nothing else in between, Why would they think of me as a threat? I am even terrified of rats....i don't think any of my past activity should raise any suspicion at all.
Well, I am not saying that you were chosen for the screening. And screening doesn't necessarily mean they think of you as a threat. It was just an idea. But it can be a differen reason for your application to be delayed.
But honestly, a system chooses you and it can be based on your country of origin, your family, the company you work in...anything can trigger the screening.
I thought I had a conventional personal/work history, but seems like cic doesn't think that way.
So, again, do not overthink it, just call cic or order the notes

Another hopeless day for me. Every week I think- Oh its d beginning, we shall have something to boost our hopes- but the entire week goes by with no change at all. N then there is the stupid weekend which does not give any news. Imagine wanting the weekend to go away so that a new week can give you some renewed hope! I must have become a true loser to be wanting that. Lol
Are there others from Feb mid AOR who have had a simple case (no travel, single, reputed jobs) and no additional docs.request ever and still not moving beyond NA since more than a month now? I paid entire fee and did medical right in the beginning, so I have literally not been asked for any docs.so far. What should be taking so long? I know we are all so frustrated. It seems unfair to make candidates wait for more than 2 months. Why issue so many ITAs when they can't handle so many applications.

Btw, just to revisit my timeline:
AOR: 17 Feb
Meds passed and IP1: 7 April
BG in NA: 28 April
and no update after that.

Please share anything. Even a nice smile will do.
My AOR is pretty close to yours with similar timeline, and I think you're time will be coming shortly. I think my security went through a bit faster than most because I had to undergo security background in Canada about 4 months ago to sign up for my Nexus card. I'm sure that probably helped expedite things a bit.

Cool! I guess Daria is a common name in Russia.

Btw did you order your notes? Do you have anything regarding security screening since you've traveled a lot?
No I haven't ordered notes .....and hopefully I never will because I just hate paperwork.

And even if I want to it's a tedious process for someone from India. Also i don't want to use any third party to peek into my personal data.

So I pray for patience and fast processing....that's my plan in this case

Well, to play the devil's advocate, most people (incl. me) invest significant time, energy, money and thought into a PR application - it isn't done on a whim where you do it and put it in cold storage for 6 months and then once you get your PR, you flip a coin and decide whether you want to move or not.

Moreover for majority of the people, moving to Canada IS a big deal and I don't blame them for "caring" about their application (it might be because they have a complication / are not well versed with the language to understand nitty gritties etc.) and the fact that they want to be absolutely certain they are not rejected... it is NOT being wimpy. No system is perfect and I personally would also like to see the PR process become more user friendly and transparent for the applicants which will help them understand where they stand viz. a viz in the overall process (something the current system lacks) which this forum does help with to some extent. There was a news article where Canadian minister accepted that they still have a lot to learn from US, Aus and UK systems.

That being said, we must take the system as it is and that is why this forum / groups are there for people to network and make informed choices when something untoward happens. I personally feel that if CIC has provided us channels to access information and we should, in good conscience, make use of them to the extent of not being a drain on the resources - for every 9 people that uselessly call CIC, even if 1 person is able to get something of benefit out of it, I think that is justified.

With all respect "UCF", this argument doesn't convince me. And the 9:1 analysis is very mushy-mushy vis-a-vis the reality of this process.
The op has made an important remark that continuous whinning and cringing won't do good. We welcome questions but blaming cic for processing certain CEC candidates or something else is just waste of forum space. But yeah that is just my opinion

Well neither of us know the real mechanics of the process, but calling it whinging and crying is just callous. I am not blaming CIC for processing CEC candidates faster since at least I don't know the working of it all. But I don't agree with you that people should not ask questions / raise concerns / enquire about their status when CIC has provided channels explicitly to that end.
