Query on Police Verification

So i have received my ITA and i am in the process of arranging the necessary documentation. I am confised about the police verification procedure.

I live in India, and i have shifted my residence 6 times in last 10 years. I was in UK for 3 months, I was in a hostel in India studying for 2 years, then i shifted cities for jobs but remained in India, moving from Bangalore to Gurgaon and then Delhi. At each city in India i spent close to 2 years. Do i need police verification of my current address? Or all the 6 addresses? What do i do here?

I am currently planning to go to the Passport GOI website and apply for police verification for me.

Again, for my wife, we got married in 2012, before that she was in Punjab. WiIl she need a police clearance from Punjab as well? We have lived in Gurgaon and Delhi since then, so does it mean police clearance from Delhi Police and Haryana Police as well? So confused..

For both of you, a PCC from PSK is sufficient in my opinion - no need to get it from multiple sources. Just book your appointment and take a current address proof if its not the one on either of your passports. PCC from any police authority is only valid for their jurisdiction and not advised. PSK PCC covers all India and irrespective of past stays.

Thanks. Will go with the PCC from PSK route. Just one more thing. Why does the Checklist in the Application say Police Certificate (Multiple)? Is it same for all or is it only in our case?

It says multiple for everyone since if an applicant has resided in more than 1 country then they should upload all PCCs in a single file - if you have only one applicable for you then that is all you need to upload
