Hello,
Can I edit the details in the EE application after I get my personalized check list?
I have received my ITA and in process of collecting all the documents. I think I made a small mistake in one of the details that I have provided.

Also, what is the current status of FBI police clearance certificate (Identity History Summary Check). I have applied for it 5 weeks before (on website it says 8-10 weeks). What are the steps if I don't receive it in time?

Thanks,
P.D.

Can't answer about FBI checks but once you get your ITA your EE profile is locked down.

For those who are facing the same issue as me:
I just found out there is an option of "Letter of Explanation". Once can use section specific "Letter of Explanation" or a Master LOE once the application is submitted this way minor mistakes can be corrected.

a. For your changes in EE profile, please do bear in mind, if it is a change that negatively impacts your CRS, and the CRS based on correct information, takes your points below the cutoff, then IRCC could determine that to be grounds of refusal. Ensure that you get an idea how this change impacts your CRS. If no impact to CRS, then I think I would say LoE is the way to go.

b. With FBI PCC, it does take between 10-12 weeks. My application was delivered March 29th. Last I had called them this Tuesday, they mentioned that they are processing applications received up til March 27th/28th. Thus I would expect the processing of my application would start processing end of this week or next. Here as well, if you have proof (scans) of the application submitted including postal receipt, then you may attach them with LoE explaining that you are waiting for response. In some member's cases, this may have increased their processing time as once the PCC is received, you would need to upload it using CSE and processing that can add time.

I see. I don't have scans unfortunately. It would have been smart if I did that. Let see. Mine reached on April 26th. I am left with 76 days. I am hoping that this shouldn't be a problem.

Could you please confirm your question?I am not sure the answers are exactly for your question.
So you got ITA, you filled out the application, you clicked on continue button and you get personalized checklist. Now you want to go back to the application?
So you do not want to do any changes in your original EE profile, right?
Sorry, sometimes we understand some question differently.

Hello Sandra,
Here is the situation. In my original profile I made a mistake in date of birth for my spouse. I noticed that after I received the ITA. I tried to edit Original profile but it's not editable anymore. I corrected the date in my application post ITA but have not submitted the application yet which I will do in a day or two after double checking everything. But I am just curious to know if one can change details once I submit the application and get the personalized check list.

I have one more question regarding Proof of Funds. I will be able to show the funds required for 2 people but I have Car Loan. Does existing car loan has any impact on POF?

So,as people said correctly, you can not do any changes in your EE profile. It is locked now. If you have important changes, it is better to explain on the letter of explanation, why you do that.
After getting personalized checklist, if I am not wrong ( I have read on this forum many times), you can make changes.
I have read also that loan does not affect negatively.
But, please wait for some experts.

Ok. I hope other experts do reply on this asap. I am totally clueless what to do about it. Thanks Sandra.

Try this - go to Modify Family Information - it will allow you to change your spouse's DOB. I am assuming your spouse is co-applicant. In this case, there are no points for age and your CRS will not be impacted. Try this and I think you can change the DOB - let us know if it works. You can change anything after ITA as well - as others have mentioned if it impacts your CRS then you have a problem.

Regarding loans, there is no problem at all. What CIC is looking for is whether the POF you are showing for settlement in Canada is out of borrowed funds - regular loans including mortgages will be paid out of current or future income so they absolutely have no impact on the POF criterial

Hope this helps.
