As with all things in Naija, you can expedite the issuance of the passport by 'settling' the right people. If it absolutely not available in your city, then move to the next city and get it done. I've heard people are getting it in Ibadan incase you're Lagos based. Make enquiries for other cities and treat accordingly, time is of the essence.

In this case you can proactively send a request for a time extension to your VO. They probably wont respond in time and if they do, they might turn you down but it never hurts to try while you continue to mount pressure on the passport issuing office where you are.

Hello everyone. I need your kind advice. We are post ITA and in the process of getting all our documents. My son's passport is expiring in August and we have since applied for its renewal but yet to get the pasport as we were told theres scarcity of booklets. We are confused on what to do as the 90 days to accept ITA is fast approaching and we are not sure when we will get the new passport. Anyone had the same experience? Thank you for your help.

I have seen cases where people have been asked to send a new passport because the old one will be expiring soon. So if i were in your shoes, and thats the only hold up, i will apply with the current one and attach a LOE to say a new one will be sent once its available (Its only needed for the COPR and thats at then very end of the whole process).

The current process is slow these days possibly due to the volume of ITA's being given out so there will be ample time than declining the ITA.

Generally, people prefer the NW to NE calgary. But, there are some parts of NE that are like NW due to their proximity. Examples are some parts of Huntington, country hills, coventry hills, and harvest hills to mention a few. Rents are cheaper in the NE. In terms of safety, people prefer NW.

That is not the case, what is says it that marriage certificates issued by local govts that are not in the Form E format are not valid. That does not mean the marriages they conduct are not recognized. Simply go back and request for marriage certificate in the recognized format which is Form E. Local governments are authorized to conduct marriage ceremonies as enshrined in the Marriage Act Chapter 218, Section 30. http://www.nigeria-law.org/Marriage Act.htm
