Hi All,
I am wondering if anyone can help me reduce my pain and suffering.
The case processing centre received my application for PR card renewal on March 9th. Application processing was started on May 13 2017. I called PR card help line to change the address on May 15. I specifically request the agent to please make sure that my Card gets delivered to my new address and I was told told it's been updated and my new card will be mailed to my new address. I called again on May 23 and I was told that my card has been mailed and I will receive it within 4 to 5 business days. i had been waiting since then until yesterday (May 31) when I called again and found out that my card has been mailed to my old address despite of the fact that I have already got my address changed. I checked at my old address but it wasn't received there. I also had a redirection service in place for my mail so I checked with local Canada Post Office and they advised me to check at their distribution centre in Brampton. I checked with them but they didn't have track of mails without tracking numbers. They told me that IRCC mails usually have "do not forward" printed on their envelopes and we don't forward IRCC mails and usually if there is a redirection in place the mail gets returned. So now i am assuming that my Card has been returned to Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Could please anyone tell me how do I get my PR card now and how long does it take ? I have to travel and see my Grandmother who is diagnosed with cancer and terminally sick. I know i can get travel document from my home country but the processing time is 6 weeks and i can only take 2 weeks off and on top of that I don't want to get into all this travel document hassle. I have heard so many bad stories.
Thanks,

Call CIC and ask them to send it to your new address.

I called CIC and they said that I have to wait 6 weeks before they could do anything. Is there any possibility that they receive my card and send me back before 6 weeks?

Pre-Assessed..
Or you can return to Canada via a land border on foot from the US using your pp and expired PR card.
