I also have a question , if anyone can help me on this. Since we want to cancel our representative from our file and we also have to send more proof of relationship which we are planning to send by Case specific enquiry as well as hard copy through courier.So I was wondering whether should we do separate CSE , one for cancellation of representative and other for updating the documents or should we just send a single CSE for ammendment of documents and in that we attach the letter for cancellation of representative as well because someone told me that more CSE means it will slow down the process.Please guide.Thanks.

i called them,I sent a CSE nothing yet,The agent I spoke to said my file isn't updated yet...she said my background check is passed but it's not updated on my cic...CIC still shows background check in progress...I have no idea what's going on....Like the officer has forgotten my file

My background check says in process for more than a month now in my cic. Dont know whats going on. How long did yours show in process before you spoke to the agent?

From the moment we linked the account to mycic (Dec 2016, but it was probably already in process) until we landed last week. As you seem to be a march 2017 applicant, you can expect this status for several months, probably until 2018.

Send it with. In your covering letter, explain that you've dropped your rep and that's why there is a new use a representative form.

I would also send CSE to state you had too many materials to send via CSE, so you've sent it via courier (and give the tracking number).

Dominicantiguan, I'm in Calgary. Since I'm working from home, I'm very flexible with appointment times, so I guess that's why I could find it so quickly. Tmw is just Dr and X-rays and Friday is blood tests. Good luck with booking appointment in Toronto, I hope that you will not wait too long! I see that you applied week after me, so I'm guessing that they will send u medical request next week

Who can apply for it? Only sponsor? It said you must be a citizen or permanent resident to get the notes

It most certainly does. However I'm sure you can understand why some are skipped if it's much easier to process.

That's not really long. Like you stated, you're 2017 applicant. quite a few months at least to go.. As for GCSM notes.. only sponsor can apply for it on your behalf in which you sign a consent form. can be delivered by mail or email. Recommend email of course

As you have a valid OWP, if you apply to renew it before it expires (I would recommend to do it few weeks before it expires), you will then go on implied status until CIC makes a decision on the renewal of your OWP. That status would allow you to continue working. If you let your OWP permit expire, you then have to stop working until you get PR or a new work permit.

Regarding the correction, I don't know if you would face any issues if you stay in Canada. But if you go outside Canada and the passport number on the OWP does not match the passport number you currently have... there might be an issue to let you in. To ask for the correction does not implicate any fees for you, so I would recommend asking for the correction just to stay on the safe side.
