I applied for spouse visa in March 2017, passed the medical exam in April 2017 , but till now I have not received any request to submit background schedule A form and online status says "your application is in progress and the next step is to conduct a background check" not sure what's going on

yes my husband did from Canada, but there is always a long waiting queue, is there any way to call cic from India?
