If you are applying under spp then there ain't any need for any additional documents just first sem fee receipt & GIC are enough...
it is advised to attach ITRs bank statements property evaluation docs etc to show your strong financials but it's upto you as spp docs checklist nowhere mentions these & also spp is designed for less paperworks.

All the best for your process & visa.

yes if you are applying under non spp then you need to submit as max as possible from below given docs... not each & everything but as much as you can.
1.Income tax returns of your parents as they are sponsors.
2. Bank statements of last 4 months.
3. closing balance certificate showing decent amount of balance.
4. FDs if any.
5. property (movable plus immovable) Evaluation certificate showing total value of properties by CA.
6.Any other income or finance proofs that you can show.

Hope it helps.

Hi Jimmyw

Can you please explain what is closing balance certificate? is it different from regular 4 months Statement of the savings account? Also #5, CA= chartered accountant?

Hi goodboy
Closing balance certificate is your bank balance certificate on bank's letter head, it only shows your balance amount in bank on a specific date demanded for while bank statement shows all entries of your transactions.

Chartered Accountant is a person authorized to evaluate your property (movable plus immovable)... he can do the same & can provide you on paper signed & stamped the total worth of you properties.

Hi Jimmyw
I have got a PhD admit with full funding/scholarship i.e. 17000CAD (per year) +tution fee. Is it required to show any extra financial support documents or just the letter from the university (showing the funding details) is enough?. Please can you help me on this. Thanks.

It will be good to have 2-3K in your account for flight and initial costs. If not, it should still be fine.

If the funding is mentioned in the offer letter, you do not need anything else.
