Query regarding WES ECA

Hi,

I have a Bachelors of Engineering degree completed from India and am applying for WES evaluation for Express Entry. The WES website mentions the below requirement:-

1. Final or Provisional Degree Certificate (Forward a legible copy of the document to WES.)

AND

2. Annual Statement of Marks / Academic Transcript

I have the below queries:-

1) Regarding Provisional or Degree Certificate what do they mean by legible copy? Does it mean the original copy or a photocopy attested by the University would be fine?

2) I have 8 semester mark sheets and also an Annual Statement of Marks certificate. So do they require just Annual Statement of Marks or do you think we should include the 8 semester mark sheets as well?

3) One of my friends would help me out in getting the sealed envelope from my university for the above documents. So before sending the sealed envelope to WES do i have to fill in Academic Records Request form (https://www.wes.org/ca/required/international_transcript_request.pdf) ? Do I have to sign this or a scanned signed copy would be fine?

4) There is a note mentioning this statement "WES does not accept mark sheets that have been issued and/or attested by the college you attended unless from an autonomous or constituent college. To check whether your college has autonomous status". Mine is a University and not a college, does it matter in this situation? would there be any issues? I don't see my university name under the autonomous college list. But i believe constituent college means University. U can correct me if i am wrong.

If anyone could help me with the above questions it would be really helpful.

For Q 1, legible simply means clear, discernible, not fuzzy or blurred. Just a clear photocopy will be fine. NOT the original. No need to be attested either.

I have a few more queries:-

1) If we get a sealed envelope from University it would be sufficient for my friend to send it to WES right? I believe University would take a longer time to send the transcripts by themselves? How was this experience with you? Did you send it or was it the University/College that forwarded your ECA to WES?

2) So it looks like this (Academic Records Request form) is not required to be included within the sealed transcript envelope right?

3) How much time do you think is the processing time for WES? Would you mind if you could share with me on what documents you had the University/College sent to WES?

4) I had earlier lost my certificates few years ago. I got the certificates re-issued from University again. Each of the certificates have "DUPLICATE" stamped on them. Would this be a problem when submitting to WES?

I collected the transcripts (sealed envelope) from the university (Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University -Raipur, CG) and put it in a larger envelope along with the photocopy of my degree and couriered it to WES through DHL (rs 1390)

My University offers transcripts in 2 types:-

Photocopies of the certificates will be attested by the Controller of Examination as Transcripts and put inside the cover, sealed and signed.

Type: 2
The details are printed and signed by the Controller of Examination and put inside the cover, sealed and signed.

I am confused with which Type I should go with here. Any suggestions?

If Confused - Order them both and have them sent to WES. WES will know what to look for.
However the "Type 2" looks to be the more appropriate one.

PS : Order 2 copies, 1 stays with you for follow ups and reference, and if at all you need to send them again.

Which course you did from Ravishankar Shukla University ?

My btech batch was 2011-2015 but it got cleared in 2017. So while filling wes eca form here is a field year attended.. what should i select in that 2011-2015 or it will be 2011-2017.. because after 2015 i never attended the clg as i wass passout from there but 1 exam was pending which i gave nd it cleared in 207

Currently non of my friend stays there , who can do this job. in this group if anyone has any contacts then please share .
