Hi Guys,

I have a question on the similar lines listed below...Please help.
My mother is right now in India and we want her to be in Canada in 50 days from now.
Looking at this I am out of Super Visa option as it takes more than 60 days..So I am going for Multiple entry Visitor visa which allows each entry upto 6 months...I have few questions for the same.

1. Can I apply for Super Visa for 10 years post this visit of my Mom.Like if she goes back to India .Can I apply for Super Visa for 10 years if her multiple entry Visa is still valid for 10 years. And is it easy??What extra documents will I have to submit.

2.For Multiple entry visitor Visa,we should be counting our family as 3 (me,my husband and my mother) as my father is no more.We are able to meet our LICO if we consider our family income as in my husband is working and I am not..ALthough I have funds in my name but I am unemployed at the moment but I am the sponsor .Would it impact???What all documents we can share to show that we are sponsoring her stay in Canada.
Btw she is retired and gets pension and has funds in her name in india as well. Please guide.

3.Thirdly,for proof of relation I can submit either my birth certificate or my passsport back cover. The issue is that my mother's passport and my passport/birth certificate has different names of her as in the surname has beeen omitted in one.If we submit the name affidavit stating that both are her names.Would that do,or will it be a problem.

4.I am also planning to invite my brother ,who is currently in US at the same time.So we will be 4 people in family and still our LICO meets but its my husband employment and my savings ..I am not currently working.
Would that be an issue??

5.What is the processing time for normal multiple entry visiting Visa...Would we be able to make her fly in 50 days.

Please help...Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you can apply for her super visa after she returns i.e. after her visit on a TRV.

Do go through the IRCC website for the list of documents + do search for a thread on super visas by Rossei. He has posted excellent information there

LICO does not matter for a multiple-entry TRV. It is necessary for super visas.

Your mom must prove that she has the funds to pay for her TRV visit (without borrowing) + she must demonstrate she has strong ties to return to India (both for a TRV and a super visa)

For both i.e. a TRV or a super visa: You can submit your birth certificate + copy of your your passport + an affidavit (that it is the same person)

4.I am also planning to invite my brother ,who is currently in US at the same time.So we will be 4 people in family and still our LICO meets but its my husband employment and my savings ..I am not currently working.
Would that be an issue??
Answer 2 applies to your brother also. He will be visiting on a TRV, so LICO does not apply to his application.

5.What is the processing time for normal multiple entry visiting Visa...Would we be able to make her fly in 50 days.
Processing of individual TRV applications may/may not be as per the estimated processing time stated on the IRCC website

Cheers

Thanks Bryanna,She has sufficient funds on her name that we can show.Do we need to submit her last three year ITR(Income tax filings). Also when I answer the whole questionaire and select the multiple entry visiting Visa option and go to document checklist it shows me to submit "Employment docs for sponsor"...Why is that so??I have put no to the question "Whether she is being supported by us financially " back in India...

Please help in this regard.

Does he needs to attach an affidavit from my mother's side that both are her names..Please clarify.

Apart from her financial documents, I would strongly recommend that your mom includes property ownership documents, proves her family ties to India. If you need help for this then do post the list of documents before applying for the TRV.

Yes

The questionnaire is asking you for your employment documents because you probably selected 'Temporary more than 6 months' for the question 'How long are you planning to stay in Canada'

That means the questionnaire is considering her application as a super visa and not as a TRV

Similar to what I have suggested for your proof of relationship

Thanks but I need elaboration here...The name affidavit would be from my mom's side saying that both are her names ,can be attached in his application along with my passport and invitation letter right...Just confirming if I am understanding this clearly..

I suggest you prepare separate affidavits for your proof of relationship + another one for your brother

For example: The name affidavit (signed by your mom) would declare that her names stated in:
1. Your birth certificate
2. Your passport and/or
3. Any financial documents (specify which ones, if applicable) and/or
4. Any property ownership documents (if applicable)

belong to the same person

For proof of relationship between you and your mom:
Your birth certificate, etc etc + the affidavit..... This is for your mom's TRV and/or super visa application(s)

For proof of relationship to your brother:
Your birth certificate + his birth certificate + your mom's affidavit (proof of relationship to you) + a similar affidavit of your mom (proof of her relationship to your brother)..... because both the birth certificates do not have the same name of your mom.... This is for your brother's TRV application

Thanks Bryanna..This was very helpful..

DO you happen to have formats for such affidavits ,I mean what should the content say exactly for both the applications.
I might come back to you for more questions if any...Thanks for now....

As an affidavit is a legal document, this must be prepared by a lawyer. S/he will have the standard formats

Sure I understand..Thanks for all the help...Will check with you if I have more questions
Hi Bryanna,

I got to know that I cannot apply for the super Visa of my mother till I spent 1 year living in Canada as a permanent resident.
Please confirm if this is true..

Thanks
