Hello Readers

I am an Indian Citizen in USA from last 5 years. I am traveling back to home country during July2017 and at the same time I am learning about express entry. I went through the documentation required for skilled immigrant express entry and I have few questions

1. How to get a Police Certificate if I am not a citizen. Even if is mentioned on website; I want the readers who went through this would like to guide me. Does local Sheriff Dept/FBI will issue PC certificate if I am not citizen/PR?
A) Should I get it before I leave the country or Can I request it while I will be in INDIA? will they issue in this case

2. As I will be getting married this year end and I would like to apply for Express Entry with my spouse. As she is equally qualified as me . Will it help to boost the point so we can have better chances to get selected ?
( I don't have any plan to misguide CIC as presently I am not married)

3. Considering I lived in US for 5 years do I need to give IELTS/TOEFL ?

4. DO we both need to have active Job offer while in home country or that is not required criteria and it will still help to boost the points and get us selected.

thanking you

1) Assuming you are coming back to USA after getting married. Apply for FBI Report ASAP. Current processing time is 8-10 weeks.Local dept cannot give you a FBI report but can help you with fingerprinting. If you are not coming back to USA, make sure the address you enter is your India address so they send the report to India. Please note this will be a First clas mail with no tracking number provided.

Read the link for details - https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

2) Yes there are additional points for spouse's education, IELTs scores, work ex, etc.

3) You still need IELTS.

4) Not required. Check eligibility criteria.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you think you'll get an ITA and you'll be able to submit your application before leaving then get it now.

If you think your score isn't high enough and the US won't be your country of residence anymore then get it after you leave.
