Hi Legalfalcon! Thank you for starting this topic and answering all the questions!
I received my first set of notes yesterday, my timeline is in the signature.
It appears that I have cleared criminality and eligibility, however it looks like they are running some additional checks. What is "EE VV" and "First referral"? My Background check went in progress on 26 April, and that's the date of the last note as well. Also, do you think I should order a new set of notes now?

I had submitted my FBI PCC. Spouse had travelled only for 2 months.I did not submit for him.

What does Criminality Pending FBI*2 means. (FBI*2)--does this means for 2 persons.

Hi Legalfalcon,

I had submitted my FBI PCC on 17th Feb. Spouse US travel is less than 2 months.

Gcms notes - They had worked on my file on 12th April. On the same day, they had requested for FBI Clearance for myself and Spouse. I had not received any request in MYCIC account.

GCMS notes say - Request Letter sent for FBI*2.

Does this means they had sent the request but I haven't received in MYCIC.

The answer to your questions depends on what stage your application is at. If PoF is the only thing remaining, then yes, you will be given the PPR as soon as your submit the details. Usually the BGC is the last thing, so it takes a couple of weeks, unless your BGC is complete, which I doubt.
Additional requests does not delay the application much, but a few additional weeks is required to look into what you submit and ensure that it meets what IRCC asked for.

According to GCMS my file was transferred to Paris to complete assesment local knowledge required on 07 March. My assesment of Page 2 : Eligibility not started; Criminality Passed and Security not started. The case analyst at CPC ottawa evaluation for eligibility is recommend pass and Pof review required before the transfer to Paris. BGCheck is still not applicable since early March.

Based on the info you gave, an agent has to review the analysts recommendation and after your revised PoF is submitted the last thing remaining would be BGC.

Is it normal that it says that they are sending emails and a diplomatic note to check everything? I just haven't seen this with anyone else here before, so just wondering is that the usual way or it is more strict for some reason?

Usually this info is not disclosed under S16, but in your notes surprisingly it has been disclosed. So its normal and all good.

does that nmean the officer will revisit it by that time and how long usually it takes to turn from started to passed (few days as criminality)

@legalfacon - have you seen GCMS notes of anyone who submitted notarized employment reference letter on plain paper (not on letter head) from supervisor along with their business card/id card? Do they have any different remarks for reference letter not being on letter head?

The dues date has no significance. Its is an auto generate date and I have seen that in most cases the files progress way before the due date is reached. Criminality is based on the PCC you submit, where as security is done by CSIS, and taken 3-7 weeks depending on cases to case basis.

"Recommended Passed," "PASSED," "MET" are all the same and different case analysts or agents use different terms. The eligibility is first reviewed by a case analyst and then the recommendation of the case analyst is looked into by an agent who will finalize it. In most cases the case analyst's recommendation is followed by the agent.

As I have described above, the case analyst has recommended passed, but wants the agent to look at some specific issues before the agent will clear it and these issues have been highlighted in that specific note by the case analyst.

There are many such cases, usually a typical line will always be there which will be something like, "reviewed but not verified," this is also there in other cases too. You should have sent a LoE stating why your supervisor cannot use the letterhead and the would have helped.
