hi all, I'm in trouble and don't know what to do, I'm a PR resident for about 7 months now, me and my husband came to U.K. For his work, we are in U.K. Now, since we came to U.K. He changed a lot with me and have been giving cold shoulder, when I asked what's wrong, he said I think you should pack your clothes and go to your family, ( in my original country) and he basically means he doesn't want me anymore, and he said he'll book me a flight to my original country, and doesn't want me in Canada anymore, what should i do?

Did he sponsor you in Canada? I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that if you got your permanent residence he has to be responsible of your finances (I forgot how many years) , regardless of if you split up.

You should probably decide where you want to go, either to your original country or to Canada.
What is your question about exactly? Is it about finances? Or you're looking for suggestions for which country to live in?

Your choice, not his; But if you think it'll create an unsafe situation for you, go ahead and go back to your home country, but keep your PR card so you can go to Canada later if you choose to do so. :)

If this thread is serious - in both Canada and UK in 2017 you can decide where you want to go when relationship breaks down.

Yes about finances and what will happen to me, I don't know what to do? He has my passport I don't have it, so even if I wanted to leave I can't. And my bank account has money but he can stop me from using it

He legitimately sounds abusive. You are a human being, you get to decide where you go. Not him. He is not allowed to hold your passport, it is your possession not his

1. If the account is yours and not a shared account he cannot block you from withdrawing your money.
If it is a common account, withdraw some money now. If it's not possible go for assistance to the embassy of your country in UK.
2. Go to police and ask them to come with you to retrieve your passport+money. If there is abuse, let them know.
3. Buy yourself a ticket to Canada
4. Rent a temporary place in Canada, while looking for longer term accommodations. If you fear your spouse, then hopefully somewhere where you will not cross paths.
5. Look for a job, in the meanwhile apply for social assistance if you are low on finances.
6. Live a normal life.
7. Consider a divorce.

Do I have to tell Canadian authorities about this? Or just move out and find place to rent? How does it work?
