Hi Guys,

I am planning on going back home before I get my ready for Visa email for PR. Does anyone know if I have to change my address on the application before I do it? Or can it be the Canadian address? I was wondering if this would be an issue when they have to send your COPR.

If you are going for visit then no need to, if you are leaving Canada then you need to inform.

I am asking your intention....
Are your going back home for visit or on vacation? Are you planning to come back to Canada? If yes then no need to.
If you are leaving Canada permanently and doesn't want to come until PR then you need to inform. As they have your Canadian Address and they will ask you to submit your PP in Ottawa. Since you will not be in Canada then you won't be able to submit in Ottawa, then you need to request them to change your visa office and send another PPR mail. (ready for Visa mail)

I am planning on going home until I get my PR. So in that case, I will have to change address. How do I change address? Once I do, would they ask me to send the documents to the local CIC office in my home country? (PPR docs)

Exactly. Once they have new address in your file they will send PPR request through your local visa office,

You need to raise Case Specific Enquiry for address change request.

Oh I see. Thanks so much. Do you by any chance know if this would cause a delay in app processing times or is it pretty straightforward and easy?

new address will take 2 weeks to process.

Shouldn't be delayed if you update them timely and it depends when was your AOR

AOR was for FEB 13. People who have applied around the same time have heard back, and some haven't.

Is this the link that needs to be used? Do you know if it updates any and all applications that are in process under your UCI? Cuz I have a visitor visa extension application in the process as well.
