Vision problems and PR outcome

Hello everyone,

I've recently submitted my EE profile and now in the pool for the next draws. I know I still have a long way to go. However, my biggest concern here is that my eyesight will affect my PR application. My eyesight is not great. I have a vision problem that only allows me to see up to 20/80 - 20/70 on the eye chart. This is after corrected with glasses. I am aware that my vision is different to everyone else's but I've been living with it since I was a child and to be honest I don't see myself missing out on any opportunities as people with normal vision. I'd been working for 7 years as marketing manager and now doing my master's in Australia.

I am just very worried about the medical part of the process. I don't know if Canada is discriminatory against people who have special conditions like me. If anyone has the same issue or knows of anyone going through the same thing can share their experience I'd appreciate it very much because I'm not very hopeful now.

Thank you everyone!

I wouldn't be worried about it.. It's not preventing you from doing work, it does't require expensive medication (if any) and it's not contagious.
Thank you for your reply. I was not paying a lot of attention to my visual condition and just accepted as a matter of fact until recently I saw people being denied on medical grounds (eyesight) especially in Australia and that makes me worried. I don't take any medication at all.

Have patience my friend. There are people with different medical issues and getting cleared. I believe, eyesight is not the major one to block your entry into Canada.
