Hi guys
I received my passport back and planning to finalize my landing at Rainbow bridge Niagara ON. I'm planning to cross the bridge by foot. To those who recently landed in Rainbow bridge, please guide me.
1. I'll be driving from Mississauga, using GPS do I just search Rainbow bridge or there's a particular location to find?
2. I dont want to enter US by car. Is there a public or paid parking at the foot bridge? I just moved from AB to ON so technically I've never driven far off GTA.
3. My 2 year old Canadian daughter is coming with me. Is it advisable to bring a stroller? Is it accessible at the pedestrian entrance?

Your guidance is much appreciated. Thanks.

I have done the landing by walk. Here is my experience;

  • Put address of Bird Kingdom (you can google it). There is a paid parking behind that. $ 12.50 for 4 hours. I will recommend to take 4 hours if you wish to visit other side of Niagara by walk which will take 1 hour for whole tour.
  • This is the nearest parking and adjacent to the bridge. 5 mins walk to the bridge.
  • Have 2 quarters (50 Cents) each person to open the gate. You can bring stroller.
  • 2 mins walk to the USA side. if you wish to enter then Go and enjoy the opportunity. If not then come back with denial slip.
  • Enter into Canada and follow the instructions.

Thanks so much for the info. One thing, is parking available at 7am? Also, do I need to make a U-turn to the US when I drive back to Mississauga from Bird Kingdom Niagara?

No you dont have to, if not the Bird Kingdom, then you can search for Duty free at Niagara, the Immigration building is right before that on the left, you can't miss it...

Also I saw some people parking in there but not sure if you can park, I parked next to the Building in the Paid Parking (Machine operated) its a big empty lot....

Have a speedy process....

Thanks for your response. Did you make a U-turn to US side after you parked heading back to Mississauga? Some folks mentioned not to park at Duty free parking.

Do not Park at Duty Free. As its Exit will lead you to the US side. Just park at Bird Kingdom and you are good. Parking is available at 7 am (its all day)
Bird Kingdom is in Canada so you just need to follow the signs to get back to the highway which will lead you to Mississauga.

Hi Expert,

Can someone please share if we must have a photo ID with address and name to show at border when doing Landing process for PNP inland applicants? Is it fine without photo ID to do Landing. I have my passport and all other document s with me but not any Photo Id showing my current address. is it fine? or do I have to have Photo ID during Landing process?
Thanks

You need to have a proof of your residence in Canada if you are inland. The best document is Photo ID or Driver's License. The alternative would be your bills (Utilities bills would be preferred). If not then have Phone bills, credit card bills with you.

Hello guys,

I plan to do my landing next weekend. I intend to cross the US border at Rainbow bridge Niagara ON and spend some time shopping, then I will return to land in Canada. A couple of questions, please...
--Do I need the I-94 form?
--Since I will be driving, do I need to exit my car to be checked by the US border control agents?

Thanks for your anticipated replies :)

Please check the pic, that I shared, the paid parking is next to Bird Kingdom, NOT in the Duty free, as the exit will take you to US.
