Should I add my shut-down ex-company to express entry?

Hi,

I am applying PR via Express Entry. I studied Master of Computer Science in Canada. My post-graduation work permit is valid between 4th September'15 and 3rd September'18. I need an advice about a specific situation I am having:

I worked (full-time) at a company (located in Fredericton/NB but I worked from home at Halifax/NS) between 14th September'15 and 31st December'15. The company shut down after 31st December, and they are not active right now. In addition, I lost contact of my manager/boss at the company after that date, I am not even sure he is still living in Canada. However, I made 7500$ here during this period and I got T4 document provided by them, which I already used for my tax return in 2016.

My problem is, I am not sure if I need to mention this in my Work History, while applying PR. If I do not and do say I was unemployed, the government might ask me why I got a T4 document in 2015. On the other hand, if I do, the government will ask me a proof-of-employment received from the company, but there is no company anymore that I can ask the document (since they shut down) and no manager to contact. I am only in contact with one of my ex-collegues worked with me there.

What should I do in this case?

P.S. I got my invitation (ITA) already.

Thanks!

You can mention such experience in the personal history section once you obtain an ITA.

No proof of employment will be required.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be weird that I mention it in the personal history but work history? I obtained ITA already, got invited.

If I say "unemployed" in personal history during these dates, I might be asked how come I would have T4 for those dates. If I say "employed" in personal history but I do not mention about it in work history, I might be asked the proof-of-employment letter, which is not possible for me to receive. This is the conflict in my mind, got me stucked :)

Your understanding is incorrect.

If you mention it only in the personal history it means you're not claiming points for such work experience so it is irrelevant to your application.

You won't be required to provide any proof. Also, do not mention unemployed as that is misrepresentation.

Oh! So I am not required to mention a work history in the "work history" section, even though I mention it in "personal history" section if I am not eager to claim any point. In this case, I do not need proof-of-employment for what I claim in personal history page. Got it, thanks!
