Really in need of advice

Hope you all are doing well.

I am an international student here in Ontario and just finished with my first course in Apr'17. Enrolled for the next course which starts in Sept 2017. I am working at a retail shop in a part time position. I would like to know whether I am eligible to work during this 4 months time and does it affect my work permit or PR visa application, later on. I really need an expert advice regarding this.

Are you taking to completely separate programs? Or is this one long program with a break during the summer.

Its separate programs. I applied for a one year program and got my visa for one year.

No, you can't work since you have no valid work permit. It's illegal.
