Hello Everyone,

I am currently working in France and my employer is sending me to Montreal (less than three months) to work in collaboration with a Quebec company (exchange on common concerns, participate in conferences, etc.)

- I'm still paid by my French company
- I do not intend to enter the Canadian labour market

Can you confirm that I am a "business visitors" and that I don't need a work permit.
In this case, which document can prove that situation.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey there, I would definitely say you will require a work permit as you are "working and getting paid for it" but that's only my opinion. I would advise you to contact the IRCC Call Centre and seek some advice. It's tricky, as your employer in France is paying you and not a Canadian employer so your simply visiting the organization in Canada but still paid for been there.
