Just another datapoint for everyone here.

We sent the FBI request via regular post on Feb 24th, 2017 and they just charged my credit card for it today, April 17, 2017. So about 6 working weeks to get to our application assuming 1 week to get to the FBI records section. Hopefully we will get the letter within two weeks according to the standard processing time.
Thanks for the info! So you have posted your envelope on the 24th! Do you have info by any chance when it was exactly delivered? This would help.

For example, I have posted mine on March 8th and it got delivered on the 20th.

Thanks mate!

Yes, a week at minimum. Probably even more than a week.

They told me a week at the post office also, it took them 12 days!

Just wanted to let people know that FBI CJIS was opening mail from March 1 today; This implies a ~48 backlog, combined with 2-3 week of further processing and mail delivery time should put total time to get results @ 60-70 days

I posted domestically within the US. Depending on USPS mail routes and carriers, I've had stuff from Illinois to California within 4 days!

Hi Friends,
I received ITA on 12th April'17, I couriered fingerprint to FBI PCC on 17th April.

Now I have an official trip to USA in June, which means if I go then my latest journey will not be covered under PCC.
Is the PCC required for days in foreign before receiving ITA ? or travel after ITA also needs to be covered under FBI PCC ?

Do you suggest I should refuse travelling in June to USA, till my documents are submitted and accepted by CIC?

Update on this.

We received the FBI report today May 2, 2017. The report was dated April 18, 2017. Add 2 weeks for them to print and mail from US to Canada. So bang on 8 weeks from start to finish as advertised from others in this thread.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my application processing time, so others can have some idea.

The fingerprint application was couriered on the 03/09/17, received by FBI on 03/13/17.
My cc got charged today on 05/05/17.
Hopefully based on Jiro's information, the report should be received it in 2 weeks, by 05/20/17.

So, it seems like it takes them 52-55 days to charge the credit card from the day they receive the application, and 2 weeks to receive the report - total 65 to 70 days.

Does anyone know after sending the FBI police clearance report to citizenship Canada, how long do they take to grant you the official citizenship (test already done)?

Please advise if anyone knows.

Thank you

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Keep in mind that the processing of payment doesn't mean that the fingerprints were accepted (meaning, legible) since payment is the first step in their process.

Good luck!

I called today and they said they were currently processing applications received on March 17th. So processing starts around two months from when they receive the request.

I sent my fingerprints in February and still haven't gotten anything back. Should I be worried?
Have they charged your credit card?

We were concerned about rejected fingerprints after reading online. So we actually submitted three sets of fingerprints. Better safe than sorry.

I will check on the credit card when my husband gets home.

I contacted the Ottawa office and asked them if somehow the fbi sent them the fingerprints. I don't think they did. Imo they seemed like good fingerprints, but I'm not the fbi.

So I just got my fingerprint results back from the fbi. What am I supposed to do with the results? Do I email it to my VO or do I send it by mail? I'm not exactly sure where I send it to. I have the Ottawa office
