Hello Everyone,

I need to enquire about Province invitation. My IELTS score is CLB 7 - L7, R6.5, W7, S7. I have done Btech and my age is 27 . CRS score is 370 and my consultant told me that my score is less than 400 and therefore , the only option I left with is either improve IELTS or I can go for province nomination as I have almost 6 years of IT experience and my occupation is listed in Scotia and Prince edward island provinces (2173 Software Engineer and designer). Please advise if this is true and I can get invitation on 370 from Scotia or other

Core/Human capital factors

Age = 110
Level of education = 120
Official Languages = 102
First Official Language = 102
Subtotal - Core/Human capital factors = 332
Skill transferability factors
Education
A) Official Language proficiency and education = 13
Subtotal = 13
Foreign work experience
A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 25
Subtotal = 25
Subtotal Skill transferability factors = 38

Comprehensive Ranking System formula
Subtotal Core/Human capital + Spouse factors + Skill transferability = 370
Grand total = 370

Hi,

For your kind of profile, there is a good chance to be nominated by either of the province in question. However, the methodology which Prince Edward Island has in place to nominate candidates is still mysterious and PEI is kind of dead from late 2016. Only a handful of people have heard back who had sent Expression of Interest to PEI, plus, they've had some ties to PEI (PEI work experience/University Studies). You can follow the Nova Scotia PNP thread to know the whereabouts.

In short, it is highly suggested to re-take IELTS and aim to elevate your scores. A .5 increase in Band speaks a lot here.
Hope this helped.

Thanks for the quick reply. As per your recommendation,I will take IELTS againI However, i still have 2 things to know here:
1) Considering my current IELTS score(L7, R6.5, W7, S7), is it possible to get a provintial nomination from Nova Scotia?
2) And, please point me to Nova Scotia PNP thread for the whereabouts.

Thanks!!

I guess Category B is closed of Nova Scotia is closed currently. Still, check with your consultant and this thread.

Nova scotia website mentions "Nova Scotia Demand is expected to open and close over the next year."
Does this mean that the Provincial Nomination Program for Nova Scotia is not going to open this year (2017)?
ur best bet wud be to improve ielts scoe. If u can achieve a clb9 which is 8777(LRWS) ur score wud jump to 429 and u have a good scope of getting a direct ITA in the current dynamics of pool.
As for nova scotia, it will open and close through out the year is what their website says. They have already released a list of occupations who can apply when it is open. Follow this link their is an application guide for ur reference
