I like it this way because there were many negative ratings given to people that helped the most, and all because of some frustrated and vindictive users. Some of them were realistic, but most weren't and were used to discredit good and helpful forumers. This is a more positive environment for me.I think the UI is ok. It's more readable. I like the "like" button although I think they should have added a dislike button too. It's more transparent. It gives a credibility of a user. Previous version of this site allows you to see how many good and poor ratings a user received and that gives an idea how well he helps people. I see some user giving only negative comments having 100 good ratings but you can see that there is 300 negative ratings too. Now you can only see the positive ratings.
There is an 'Alert' option on the top right corner.I do not think there is an option to see unread replies to posts in which we contributed. I really wish they enable this feature again. Apart from this, the forum looks cool.![]()
I noticed it now. Thanks. But, what about older posts which I have been following for a year....There is an 'Alert' option on the top right corner.
Now onward, you'll see an alert notification there when someone replies, quotes or likes your post.
