Hello for the past 4 years I been coming back and forth to Canada to visit my girlfriend, border knows of it and I am very honest with them comply with the rules and do what I am supposed to do. Ive been told as long as im honest and leave and go as I am suppose to everything is okay. I tell them I don't have a job which I don't and my college schooling is online and that my father sends me money and I stay with my girlfriend while im here so thats how I have funds for myself and a place to stay.
Never had any real issues worse is pulled in immigration to be questioned more but I have nothing to hide I don't work here or do anything wrong just visit.
My question is lately I've been making money online freelancing work making stuff on photoshop and cosplay costumes and making a few bucks. A costume sells for around $300 while photoshop work is $20-50. Could I tell the Canadian border that I am do freelancing work and would that get them to ease off a little bit on my funds? They never bother me about me saying my dad does it except a few comments that he must be a good guy doing that. Is there a way to say it without causing any more issues or questioning?
At the pace the work is going I will be filing as a legitimate business hopefully next year.
