VISITOR VISA PAPER APPLICATION - VFS BANGALORE

Hi,

I am a PR of canada and I applied for a visitor visa for my parents in papper format via the Canada VFS bangalore center

I also tried to link my paper application to my account online( BY Signing in to partner sign on page) , but when i entered all the details requested, the system said cannot find the required application

The VFS office gave me a VFS tracking number , but i wanted to know if CIC sends any welcome mails with the CIC trackinf file number to track the status of the visa application. its been 2 weeks i have not received any correspondance from CIC

Do check that you have input all details correctly.

You should have received two emails (one for each applicant) within about 24-48 hours from VFS/CVAC stating that your parents' applications have been forwarded to the visa office + a VFS tracking number (which generally doesn't help for the application status)

I applied for visitor visa in paper format on 13th April, to attend two business events (first event on 15 - 21st may & 2nd event on 6th June), all require docs attached in file. yet status is showing my application is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, BANGALORE. while event will start on 15th.

What could happen if first event date will passed and decision still pending, May it possible that visa office will consider 2nd event.

21 days is the official timeline but that's just an estimate. The actual time depends upon the visa office, your luck and the visa officer's mood. Chances of receiving a decision is low as just 2 working days left + 2-3 days for having your passport back. Anyways all the best. Hope you get the decision tomorrow.

Unfortunately, we have seen several cases where applicants have missed attending key events (weddings, house celebrations, trade shows, convocations, etc). This is because visa officers do not expedite TRV decisions keeping in mind such events.

You may want to send a CSE + email to the Bangalore Consulate (as your application has crossed the estimated processing time) to request for an expedited decision.

Do be prepared for a standard response to your CSE that the visa office is facing high volumes of applications. You might just get lucky with the email

You won't get any email from CIC for the paper apps. The next email would be again from VFS that says their processed passports have been dispatched from the visa office.

You may want to link their paper applications to their online MyCIC account to check for more updates

i tried to link it to my account , but after providing all detailsof passport and other details of my parents , it says cant find details. i called the cic call center and the agent says raise a technical support call , it must be a technical issue
i dont understand how as the error clearly says cant find application , it does not seem to be a techical error in the site

please can you advice

CIC agents don't give the brightest of advice sometimes No, this is not a technical issue. It is a very common problem.

You can track the delivery of your processed passport on the Blue Dart Couriers website.

IRCC does not send an email regarding the TRV decision. The best way to know is when you get your passport back which will be tomorrow (Blue Dart delivers couriers on Saturday).

Hope IRCC has granted the TRV as your first business event begins on May 15

I applied for a 6 visitor visas together for our family on Apr14 in VFS Bangalore. This is our second visit to Canada. Out of 6, we have received only 3 passports by courier, Our travelling date is on 17th may. I approched VFS Bangalore and dropped the letter and the air tickets copies on 12th May. After which, the tracking status of only one passport is showing as "couriered" and rest 2 is still "being processed".

Is there any other way to get it before 17th May? Please Help.

If you get a positive response then collect the passports from VFS Bangalore (you'll need to travel there) instead of having your passports couriered to you to avoid losing another 1-2 days/missing the flights
