Thanks Hurlabrick and Survivor27 for your quick response.
Actually, we started the old kit for spousal sponsorship last 2015 unfortunately we postponed the submission of our application.. when I checked the forms, all of the old forms are already outdated..
I think the new forms are much better than the old forms because they rid of some essay type questionnaires.
My problem is Im here in our home country with my husband and got pregnant.. I will go back to Canada this month, I am not sure if I will be eligible or will get approve as a sponsor..
I don't know what possible solution we're going to do coz I want my husband to be with me in Canada before I will give birth to our baby this November.
Thanks again...
If you are a PR card holder, you MUST be in Canada to file for the spousal sponsorship. If you are already a citizen, you may file for the sponsorship anytime while in the Philippines.
With the new kit, your husband will have to wait for the medical and NBI request before he can obtain them. Fill out all the forms
now and get it done asap. Hopefully, if an immigration visa officer finds your application a straightforward case, your husband may get approved for PR in less than 6 months and be with you before you deliver the baby..
Note that there are already some January 2017 applicants from MVO who used the new kit and already got an approval.
Make sure that you also include the AOM when you submit your application. If you are a PR holder, do get an AOM for you and one under your husband's name.
