Can I apply for OCI in India

Dear forum members do any of you have any idea of applying OCI from India i.e., immediately after getting Canadian Passport get Indian visa go to India and apply for OCI there so that we can save the waiting time of 42 days in Canada for OCI.

yes u can but waiting time will be the same ( i think so)

it is processed by delhi vo . doesnt matter from where u apply

Did you apply OCI from India ? If yes, please share the procedure and your experience as I am in the same situation now. Please advise. I am planning to stay 2 years in India after obtaining citizenship certificate.
