Dear Friends,

I have an important question here.Regarding funds required to immigrate to Canada,is it ok if i show the proof of funds from my wife's account?
Please be noted i am the main applicant and my wife and child shall be dependent. My wife has some money in her account back in country.so i have basically 2 questions

1-Can i show proof of funds from my wife's account?

2-We are located in UAE, but account is in Pakistan. We shall be lodging our application from UAE.Can the funds be shown from account which is in different country from the country where we are applying our case for immigartion?

Yes, you can show POF from her account.

There's no problem if your account is back home.

Dont worry i have done the same thing and mine got cleared.
My wife is was the main applicant and funds came from my bank account. And she never submit any objection letter or anything and we didn't had any problems.

You can show the proof of funds in your spouse account but along with that a no objection certificate is required from her .

what is a No Objection Certificate? How do I get it made? I got certain funds transferred from my husband's to mine (I am the principal applicant).

If you are showing the funds in your spouse account then you have to show the No objection certificate from spouse .But if you have transferred the funds to your account then NOC is not required.

Thank you for your response. Do I need the Gift Deed or Affidavit for the transfer from my spouse (whos accompanying with me) to my account? We only transferred thinking it would make my case stronger. But now I am thinkign - is this going to increase our paperwork?

NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE means the account holder has no objection if you use the funds. Here this can be provided if it is joint account(between you and your spouse).
A notary person will give you the NOC .It must be notarized on the 50 rs stamp paper .

Gift deed is not acceptable. To decrease the paper work i suggest you to show some of the funds in your spouse account and some of the funds in your account and a NOC from your spouse.
