Outland Family app, CIC asking for more info from FBI check

Hello everyone,

We just got a email from CIC and they are asking for more info on my FBI report they want police/court documents. My wife is sponsoring me into Canada. My FBI report shows a mark for failure to appear I had back in 1999 but that case was dismissed and it also states that on my FBI report. I went to the court that handled the case back in 99 and they have since destroyed the documents and any info that related to the case since it was dismissed and have no record of issue. My question is what can I do about this? Will this stop my application to be able to immigrate? I got a form filled out and signed by the courts stating that the case has been destroyed and no info is available on it and that if more explanation is needed for CIC to call the courts. I submitted this for the documents they have requested.

When I was 19 I had written a $20 check to Walmart that didn't end up clearing my account and they sent this to the court. I was currently living in Portland OR and they sent the court info to my old address in Arizona so I didn't get the court summons in time so a warrant for failure to appear was issued. I went to the court in Arizona when I finally found out the issue. I paid the $20 fee and $50 dollar fines and all charges were dropped and the case was dismissed. I have no record in Arizona but this showed on my FBI report because I had to give fingerprints at the Sheriffs office that handled the warrant.

Dear lord, all that over a bounced cheque? Bloody US.

Yes, you did the right thing having them fill it out. Can you also get a state PC? You should explain what that is about if you haven't already, as well (as you have done here) You don't want to end up with an interview in LA.
