NOC not matching with the Education

Hi All,

I have recently received invitation to apply for PR Application.
But I am concerned on my profile getting rejected as my education is not matching the NOC I selected.

I have done Btech in Mechanical and have 7+ Years of experience as a software engineer.

I selected the code 2173 while creating my Express entry profile.
I have the experience letters from my employer and my roles and responsibilities are exactly matching with the NOC but I can see that in the NOC 2173, under employment requirements below is mentioned?

Employment requirements
A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
A master's or doctoral degree in a related discipline may be required.

Can someone please confirm if I should go ahead with my application or is there any risk of getting rejected because of my education?

As far as I know, education only matters when your NOC is regulated. Otherwise, you should be fine.

that is right... if you are not a doctor or a lawyer etc you are fine if your duties match with NOC code... I am a political scientist and my NOC is 0124....

did you apply? Did you get the PR card?
