Translation requirements confusing

Hi Experts,

I have a doubt . I did submit my eAPR recently. There are a couple of documents : Marriage certificate & my Child's birth certificate; these are in dual language. i.e Local indian language + English.

Since the document has both languages; i did not translate these 2 docs in English. I only uplaoded the original documents in eAPR.

Is it ok ? OR will this be rejected as the document is not in English-only ?

That would be something I would object if I were ever rejected based on this... if its originally a dual language document then you should be fine... for example my masters diploma is dual language and I uploaded it just like that... I am not going to translate it because its original.... it has all the stamps and it certainly describes what is written there in English... I think a VO would understand that...

Still I am not an expert... wait for another reply if you want

Yes; i thought the same too. We should be fine. Just had this doubt as the CIC guidelines does not specfically talk about dual language documents. i.e native + English.

I believe that most (not all) of the documents in non english speaking countries are in dual language.

In my country a copy of the original document is attached with a hole to the translation, and I guess this is the way the translator is certifying it. But there is nothing written on the copy by the translator. I was wondering whether this is fine as the certified copy.

Also I was wondering how should I show that it is attached by the hole to the translated version when scanning?

The cic translation requirements are as follows:

If it is not in English or French, you must send it with: Showbox jiofi.local.html tplinklogin

the English or French translation and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation and
a certified photocopy of the original document

certified photocopy:

A photocopy of an original document. It must be readable and certified as a true copy of the original by an authorized person. The person compares the documents and marks on the photocopy:

their name and signature
their position or title
the name of the original document
the date they certified the document
the phrase “I certify that this is a true copy of the original document.”


According to their requirements, it needs a certified true copy of original documents.

My question is: is it necessary to follow the cic requirements to get a certified true copy which is a kind of wired.
