Unable to link my paper application to online

Hello Everyone,

I applied via Paper Application at VFS, Delhi.

And I tried to link my paper application to online,

But I am facing problem as I am getting error no application found.

Actually during my application I wrote my Given name i.e. Manveer Singh

In the family name of the application and left given name in the application as blank (as my surname is not their in my passport)

But now the problem is during linking ,
I need to give both Family name and given name,

When I try to leave given name field blank it is throwing error.

So can someone help me out with this.

That what should I write in given name during linking although I left given name blank during my application.

On passport surname is blank
On college application last name is Singh
If left blank it does not continues the page
If filled, even then they dont find the application

Put email on application form,but didnt receive any mails about passport. Only 2 text messages were received on phone on 5 july that passport has been forwarded to consulate.

Want to know how can i receive updates through email or otherwise how can i link application to online aacount???

So much confused about this.

For those who are getting error as no application found when try to link their paper application to their online account.

(1) Go to Cic.gc.ca and select my application and status of my application
(2) Click on continue to Gckey
(3) If You've already account created, login with your Username and Password otherwise Click on Sign up to go on next page and create your username, password and security questions.
(4) After creating my CIC account, click link application to this account.
(5) Then select category as Temporary residence and subcategory as Study Permit and extension.
(6) Then select Family name, given name and date of birth option.
(7) Fill your family name(surname), given name and date of birth as per Passport or Application form.
(8.) Next in applicant personal info panel fill Passport information only and DO NOT FILL CITY AND COUNTRY OF BIRTH.
(9) Enter your course start date given on your offer letter exact same as that.
(10) Enter course end date as on offer letter only month and year is given so enter that only don't select the date.
(11) Enter your DLI no. same as given on the offer letter.
(12) Next search for your application.
(13) Your application will be found and can be linked.
(14) You can get real time updates on your paper application online.

I was getting errors and tried the same with mine and it worked so hopefully it ll work for everyone.

Note : In 24 hours you can try only 5 times to link your application and if you exceed that then you have to wait for 24 hours, so be careful about that.

Are you able to link your application online. If yes, please also let me know as I am also having the same issue.

Okay so here is the solution, if you have not surname in the passport then fill your given name exactly in the last name bar to linking application. Don't give personal information like place of birth and country leave it blank. In last when you filling you course end date don't mention date just mention year and month only.
In that way you can link your application online.

No it never cause any problem. You may contact them if you are providing the exact information which you have on your application.

What is AOR? And how did you get the application number? I applied through VFS but dint get the application number ..and since last name is blank I am facing same issues in linking my application to the CIC account. Pls suggest/advice
