1. Job not specified as full time (30+hours/week)

So for foreign work experience, do we have an option of mentioning it as just 'full time' or is it mandatory to put in 30+hours/week, because full time can be interpreted differently by different organizations?

Hi I need some clarity on this -

Current employer - I will try to get everything. Still not got the letter.

Previous Employer 1 - just mentioned full time basis and for salary told me to use the salary certificate. They said that they cannot mentioned these 2 details on the letter.

Previous Employer 2 - just mentioned the number of hours worked and did not mention the annual salary.

Previous Employer 3 - mentioned the number of hours worked and the annual salary.

The issue is they say that this is not as per their policy to mention these details on the experience letter for visa purposes. I told them that this is for immigration purpose, but they said that they may have legal implications to mention this on the letter.

All the letters got till now from previous employers are on letter head, so that is not a problem.

So now I am confused on what to do about this, since there is no consistency in the letters. But logically every company has their own way of providing the documents. Also getting a letter again is difficult cause the managers have left and it gets extremely difficult for the HR (who we need to approach) to confirm the details on the letter, and they don't sign letter before someone from the function I was working in confirms.

Please can someone clarify.

You're right, of course. We do not live in an ideal world.

I'm curious to know what the applicant who got the rejection wrote down as the "country of study". It could be that s/he wrote the country of the certificate issuing authority, which would certainly confuse the immigration officer about where the applicant was physically present at the time and compel him to ask for a PCC for that country.

So regarding the same topic, I have done ACCA (issuing authority is UK) from Pakistan. So what should I enter in country of study field ?

I got ITA under CEC. However, my wife is in India for vacation, She obtained PCC last month in India and she will leave to Canada next week. I am going to submit our PR application before she leaves India (probably this weekend). If she leaves India, will the certificate become invalid? Does she need to get new PCC after she reach Canada

So long as the PCC is not more than 6 months old (which is not your case as you got it last month) you can submit it without worrying, you'll be fine.

The rule that the PCC has to be submitted after the last day you're there only applies to PCC older than 6 months.

I took Medicals for my work permit on October 13, 2016. Moreover, I noticed that my UMI is Non-EDE and up front medical type is worker. Is it still valid? I hope, it is valid for 1 year.

The downloaded WES report is a little different from the hard copy, there is no WES stamp on it.

However, I don't think the WES report is a big concern, since the report is actually not required. CIC only requires the ECA number, they can verify your education credentials from WES's database. I think if you cannot find your hard copy of WES report, you can submit the downloaded copy and explain it in the LOE.

do you think CIC would still require an affidavit of translation for a diploma that was translated by the university registrar itself?
it has a note "Certified Translation of the Original" with the school stamp and university registrar's signature.

I have obtained police report form Denmark which is sent in email. It doesn't have a stamp but is signed by some police office. Does not having a stamp makes its invalid or subjected to rejection?

Scan what you got and you should be ok. Just make sure, that what you got is the same thing that they require for Denmark. (and yes some EU PCC can look pretty simple, French PCC is also very plain without any stamp on it).

Certificate of criminal record for private use.
Certificate of criminal record for the use of police and public authorities.
Certificate of criminal record for a person's suitability to work with children.

We can only apply and obtain the first one by our-self while the other two have to be requested by concerned organizations. I think I am good to go now, isn't it?
