First of all, thank you for all the helpful replies.

Actually my score is

listening 8
reading 8.5
writing 6.5
speaking 7

Total 7.5

The agent told me that there are more chances in Quebec now. And the required score is brought down to 5 (ielts).

I was wondering that whether I should spend 10k inr to register with them. Is it a safe bet?
I am also thinking about giving revaluation request on my Writing. If it gets to 7 the better, right?
safe bet is investing in improving ur IELTS. u can check the crs calculator and find out what score ul reach if u strive for clb 9 or 10.

Good luck!

Quebec is not included in express entry. If you are choosing Quebec then the processing time is longer. If you are choosing express entry, don't mention Quebec anywhere

Sorry to hijack this thread, but i am at the following condition:
IELTS maxed- R/L:8.5, S/W: 7.5
6yr experience out of Canada
Engg degreee (ECA 4yr equivalence)
Unmarried 28 yr old

Total comes to 441 points and waiting since quite some time.

Is there any chance in coming 3-4 months?
I know the score is decreasing but somehow i'm not sure it will reach this level, and learning french will be along time commitment i believe...

Is it possibel or do i have to increase score through some way that i am missing?

You might get an invitation in the next few months, but you also may not. If I could put a probability on it, I would say it's not likely since historically ITAs have never gone out to people with less than 450. You have maxed out your available points and you cannot increase it any further without improving on education or getting LMIA/PNP. Getting a one year master's degree would increase your points up to 481.

Hi Cyber friends.

This is Hari from India(32y/M/Married/MBA). I have a total of 10yrs9months experience in the field of Investment banking. All my experiences are around the operations world (Back office/Middle office) as that's the only option available when we get the jobs outsourced here. Currently working as a team leader in Chennai @ Fidelity. In my total years of experience- I was working in Singapore for 3 years on a project. I'm familiar with reconciliation, cash management, Market risk, TLM tool ( Functions not technical). I always been hearing good and wanted to settle down in Canada.

My wife(29Y/F/MBA/3 yrs. work experience) is also working with me in Fidelity operations and we have a baby girl who is 3 years old.

The below are my questions.

Does my profile worth it for a successful career in Canada? Do we have opportunities for the above kind of roles?
If yes, I can go for IELTS immediately and start preparing.
How can I migrate from Chennai? is there a reliable consultant?( I want only honest people).
The reason for third question is mostly I see very bad reviews on consultancy guiding for PR.

Hoping to see a response for all my questions and appreciate your response from heart :)

Could you give some more information on your qualifications and what your work roles actually entailed?

Based on this info, you should have a decent shot at a high score. You have to find a NOC match for your job, and you'd need to max out your IELTS, of course. Assuming you can do that, and assuming your MBA degree is recognized, you should have a high score. The same goes for your wife - in fact, all else being equal (IELTS), she'll get more points that you.

Now, your second question is harder to answer. Why don't you start looking for jobs in Canada? In your place, I would create profiles on the job sites (Indeed? Monster? StackOverflow?) and look for roles that match my experience. That should give you some idea of the kind of job market that's available to you.

I would recommend you spend some time doing your own research before you start looking for a consultant. You may choose to use one later, but if you're ill-informed, you have a higher chance of being scammed.

Thanks for your response. I have an MBA ( Postal degree not a regular college) in Banking and Finance from Alagappa University. My under graduation is on commerce and that's a regular full time degree from Bharathiyar University.

Can we apply with having only 1 yr work experience???

Hari, you can get it assessed from WES. Think there is some conditions for distance education. How about your wife, was her Masters regular or distance. Once you give your ielts exam and have your degree assessed you have a fair chance.

Did you manage to get a transcript from Alagappa University? Please let me know the process.
