Another topic which just eats up all your energy.... I have translations from a certified translator. On that document the translator confirms he was presented with a document in foreign language...blabla...swears and confirms...blabla.... with signature... (you know what I'm talking about). Can an expert please confirm that this is enough and that it does NOT need to be notarized?
Then I will also get a certified copy of the original document (the one in foreign language), correct?

To all experts out there please bring some clarification into this so we can put this tipic to rest. Thanks!!

Correct, since he's certified no need to notarize anything.

Translated document + affidavit + certified copies will do.

Thanks!!! So just to be clear: the affidavit is on the same document as the translation itself. Reg. Certified copies: do I need a certified copy of both the translation AND the original document in foreign language?

What my translator basically did was.

1 - First page affidavit saying he translated the documents to his best capabilities.
2 - Translated documents with his stamp.
3 - Copies of the originals with his stamp.

Could the original also be certified by someone else than the translator?? Someone from an authority?
I just have a translation with an affidavit on it itself!

No idea, maybe a notary public.

It is usually the translator the one who gives certifies copies as it is a way of saying that the translation was based on such documents (the originals in your mother tongue).

No clue what you're saying, you have to upload.

1 - Affidavit.
2 - Translated documents.
3 - Certified copies of the originals (originals with the translator stamp)

I dont get it now! I though the originals (in color) should also be submitted (scanned), especially when we are talking about original diplomas.

"If a supporting document is in a language other than English or French, the applicant must provide IRCC with:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translations; and
a certified photocopy of the original document."

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

The requirement to scan a document in colour only applies to PCC. If you feel iffy about it feel free to also upload the original with no stamp but it is a bit redundant.

So that means that i will ask the translator to stamp a colour printed copy of the originals as well as the translations??

If you're talking about PCC you can either do that or include the original in color.
