I am already working with my employer since last 1 and half year. Because my EE score is low and only 4 months are left over to expire my PGWP, I have requested my employer to get me LMIA.

The question is that,

Do my employer has to go through the same process of LMIA i.e. post the job at Job-portals, collect applicant's Resume and then determine to continue hiring me and then apply for LMIA?

OR

Since I am already working with this employer and this employer already have gone through the hiring process when they hired me, So can they now directly apply for LMIA?

Please advice...

Hey, I m in the same position you mentioned and was wandering if you were able to obtain the LMIA with your employer and if so how much time did it took?
