hey everyone,

I have submitted my electronic application today, i believe it is also known as eAPR? and received the email confirming they received my application.

On another note, my medical is I think the upfront type? As I have done it before submitting my application. does that mean i have passed medical?

Would love some insight on where i stand in terms of timeline and what are things i should expect now up until by god's will get my landing invitation - is it called landing invitation? lol

Up from here I have no clue what is to come, so would love your input guys.

updated your status.

About timeline you will get medical passed after few days and then st away PPR if you have paid RPRF upfront. In between the BG check status goes changing and all this takes 6 months according to IRCC. Keep coming and updating here.

Yup you just submitted your e-APR. What you've done is an upfront medicals, now the clinic which has done your medicals will send the results to IRCC. while IRCC is checking your documents for eligibility, one thing they check and update its result at an early stage is medicals. You should check your MyCIC on regular basis to check for updates. When you pass medicals you will see the word "Passed" in the corresponding field (it could take few days up to few weeks to change). After this point the updates would slow down.

Apart from these 2 updates, the next one should be what exactly? assuming they didn't ask for additional docs or letters of explanation. Do they send like an appointment with the Embassy for interview? When/how do you know that you can do the landing?

Well yes if they want they will ask you for any document to upload.

The BG check goes like this
not started >> in progress >> not needed this time >> in progress >> not needed this time >> in progress >> PPR >> COPR

Interviews are very rare and not everyone gets a schedule for that.

The four major checks are

Medicals/Eligibility/Criminality/Security check

You all have to land before your medicals expire which means before one year from the date you had the medicals.
as a principal applicant you can land first and they can follow before their medicals pass one year.

I believe your COPRs will have an expiry date same as the expiry date of your medicals.

6 months from copr or expiry of medicals whichever occurs first is the last day for landing. Failing which no other chance is given.

I got my ITA on 2nd of Nov 2016. I needed some help. I had applied upfront for my Police Clearance Certificate and received it on 24th June 2016. Will that be okay? Or will I need to apply it once again? I am going to submit my application sometime this week. Also, I'm going for my medicals upfront tomorrow, i.e. 23rd Nov 2016. Any help would be highly appreciated..

yes its okay and you can submit the same PCC which is valid til 24th Dec. you must apply before that. Medicals are easy and just carry the things they have asked. your passport and photographs and copy of nomination.

@bestofluck; as I can recall you mentioned earlier that your background check has changed from "not started" to "not needed at this time". since BGC is a necessity, what does it mean to be needed at this time? could it be like "the process is on pause for the time being" or waiting in queue? what else than checking background could they be doing with your application specially that you passed your medicals and paid all fees?

Guys

they just rejected my application due to missing police certificate

before 19th November, it was required to provide one police certificate which is from the General Intelligence in my country (that I provided)
after 19th November, in addition to the first one, another type of certificate is now required (it wasn't mention in the website before 19th Nov)

is this FAIR, what should I do guys? why didn't the officer just ask for it?
I am really sad :'(
