That was the phrase which confused me. It says "your application form" not "forms". So I assumed it applies only to the main IMM5257 form. But I wasn't sure what to do with Family information form. It has different sections for signature and some of them should be signed only if an applicant doesn't have spouse/children/brother's and sister's. I wasn't sure if it will be correct not to sign that form (I don't have children), that s why I printed, signed and the scanned it. Still don't know, what was the right thing to do, but it didn't make any harm for my application.namaste said:Based on the link below, online applications shouldn't be printed out and signed:

"If you are applying online, do not print out your application form to sign it.
After you upload your application form and supporting documents, you'll be prompted to type your name in when you want to pay and submit your application. This is your electronic signature."
I hear you. That form threw me off too. But reading from others' experiences, it seems that you can submit all the forms including the Family information form without signing and scanning. If there's no harm in scanning a signed form, then I guess one can do that as well. It seems that CIC still needs to update their forms to make them more compatible to online applications.sshh13 said:That was the phrase which confused me. It says "your application form" not "forms". Right, no need to print & sign by hand. Electronically to be signed at the end when they ask if all the info you submitted is correct. Supported documents or the attested ones should be signed for sure. Only the application forms cic provides to fill out can escape the signing process.namaste said:Based on the link below, online applications shouldn't be printed out and signed:

This was a requirement only for paper application. You don't need to do that for online version. Just scan your photo (front) and upload it to the file. FYI, most of the photo shops offers a service of a digital photo - they take your picture and instead of printing it (or both) they save it onto your drive. It might be more convenient due to the specific requirements of the photo for uploading.Azizbek24 said:Hi guys another question)))
on photo requirement on the back of the photo name and date of birth should be written. So when applying online this is will be still valid, like i must scan front and back of the photo as well? im confusing in this.
Does anybody have information about this? I am confronted with the same question.oaw said:HI Everyone,
If we are submitting online,
so while filling "Use of Family member representative (5713E)", Do all family member need to print, sign with pen and scan upload.
Or this form does not need any signing, it will be signed while paying online.
Print, sign, scan, upload.erable_rouge said:Does anybody have information about this? I am confronted with the same question.
