Visit to USA on super visa

Hi,

My dad got here in Canada on super visa last year oct 2015. His passport was stamped for oct 2017.

In May 2016, we completely forgot and we took him along with us to USA for a quick shopping trip (same day return). I just noticed that on our return, his passport was stamped for Nov 2016.

Does it mean he cannot stay till Oct 2017, and would have to make a re-entry before nov 2016??

Anyone who has faced this scenario before? Please share your understanding.

Second part, who can I call or check with to confirm - CIC or Indian Embassy or IRCC office?

Hi

His previous status ended when he left Canada. The new stamp takes precedence, so his status is only valid until Nov 2016.

He doesn't need to re-enter Canada. You can apply online to extend his stay http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visitor.asp.

Did you get an extension ?

My parents have both Canada super visa and USA multiple entry visitor visa.
Also on super visa - are our parents allowed to cross USA-Canada border multiple times ?
