I applied for a open bridge work permit in early August and on September 10, 2016, I received a letter of request saying that I should pay $100 open work permit holder fee before September 17, 2016. I made the payment and upload the receipt through the portal. However, On September 16, my application was refused by CIC for the reason that I did not pay such fee. I contacted the call centre and the representative told me that a request for reconsideration will be sent to the officer. The mistake was in fact on their side so my application will be reconsidered. Does anyone knows how long it normally takes for a reconsideration process? Thank you.
