So I received the following message when I wanted to log in into my account:

You have answered all of your security questions incorrectly.
Your account has been locked. You are no longer able to recover you account online.

Is it okay not to unlock my existing profile (due to personal reasons) and to create a new one?
Is it against any CIC policy?

Yeah, CIC does not care how many accounts you have.

Thanks for the reply. There is a different opinion in this thread. But I wonder if the same applies to the locked accounts as well...

You certainly should not have multiple live accounts.

I'm unsure about the exact status of your account. It seems like it is suspended, so I would recommend you send CIC a message for a technical request and ask them if you can recover it.

In the meantime, just start a new account. If you can recover the old one, just cancel the new one. Otherwise, keep the new one.
Thanks for advice. I sent a request to the technical support (and saved a screenshot in case of any problems in future).
I think I'll wait a couple of days and then create a new one.

In case they unlock my old account I'd rather delete that one and keep my new account. It will not be a problem, right?

No, that would be fine.
Sorry. One more question. I have already asked it in a different thread but the second opinion is always appreciated. It is not compulsory to indicate your previous EE account number while creating the new one, right?
I would not like to mention the existence of my old account...

You should answer the question truthfully. Why don't you want to mention your old account?
To avoid such kind of situation in future.
rajkamalmohanram in a different thread advised that it is not compulsory to mention your previous account number.
