CRS update before 3 years of foreign experience, accept ITA or not ?

I'm writing this message because I cannot really find the anwser to my question. I hope some of you had same experience. My CRS score has been updated automatically the 2nd August (466 to 491) due to my foreign experience of 3 years but it will be officially the 1st of September as I started my job the 2nd September 2013.

I know that CIC updated CRS score for foreign experience in months that's why my profile has been updated. This permitted my to received ITA yesterday.

As I have 60 days to accept or reject the ITA and my official 3rd year of experience will be officially done during these 60 days (in 21 days), is it possible to accept this ITA but only after the 1st of September and provide all necessary documents?

There is same kind of question in this forum but the official date of completed year of experience was 60 days after ITA.

What do you think I should do? Will I be rejected if I accept ITA the 1st September?

I believe you can accept the ITA and submit all the required documents. Attach the hand written self explanation letter about your 3 years experience completion duration and ITA received time period.
I think you will be fine since in another 20 odd days you will complete 3 years.

Same case happen to my friend as well. With hand written letter his PR process is smooth. No worries

Hi,
this is tricky. There were successful as well as unsuccessful applicants in the same situation. If you want to accept this ITA at least do it after 1st September (when your 3 years are done). Nobody will tell you for sure if that is going to work though.

The safest is way is to accept ITA until you fully got 3 years experience.

In the mean time, you can prepare your application documents, such as ECA, police certificate, proof of funds etc

ITA will be valid for two months.

IF you accept the ITA you must know that at the time of being invited you do not actually deserve the points for 3 years. Recalculate your points at 2 years and if you still meet the minimum points for this draw then accept it. If not you must decline.

There is a clause specifically stated that an application must remain eligible both at the time of ITA and eAPR. However, there were some people got A11.2 approved just based on eAPR date, and some didn't. So make the decision at your own risk.

CIC system calculates work experience in the basis of months rather than number of days or date. So that's the reason you got points for 3 years, though technically, 3 years would be completed only on September 1st.

So, if you get an ITA on or before September 1st, then you will have to decline it. The reason being, your PR application is assessed as on the date you received ITA, so the 60 days that you get to submit your application does not count.

You can accept an ITA after 1st September.

with 491, you will get it next time for sure. Why don't you wait for another month to be on the safe side. In meanwhile, you can prepare your documents.

I second this opinion, decline the invitation and be ready with the all the required documents and the moment you get an ITA after Sept' 1 grab that and apply as quickly as possible.
As per IRCC the day you receive your that's the LOCKIN date and you have to have "490" points. Though it is IRCC system glitch that your CRS changed from 466 to 491 while the initial review after you submit they will recalculate your points and they might reject
There are chances of rejection after 5 months which is when it will reach the Case Officer, and I am pretty sure you will be devastated after spending so much time & efforts.

with 491, you will get it next time for sure. Why don't you wait for another month to be on the safe side. In meanwhile, you can prepare your documents.

• Decline ITA and wait the draw after 3 years of experience (probably 7th September)
• Do not decline ITA and accept it after 3 years of experience

Once you get ITA there is no option to Accept the invite. You have only two options
- Continue Application, OR
- Decline Invitation

So, if you get points for 3 years, even though you are yet to complete 3 years, you should decline the ITA as there is no concept of accepting it after completion of 3 years as you have mentioned in the second point.

So once you get an ITA after completion of 3 years, you can proceed with Continue Application.

I don't want to tell what to do, but I was in the same situation. I declined. Call center agents are not worth to trust. You call 3 different agents and you will get 3 different answers. If you wanna be safe, decline, and wait a month. Doesn't worth to be rejected 6 months from now... Your decision, but you can save a lot of time and you wouldn't have to worry if you wait.
