PR in process, but I have lost my job. Would if affect my application?

Hi everyone,

I submitted my application under CEC in March 2016 but I lost my job last month . I only had 14 months of experience Nd only got points for the job, education, age and IELTS. It wasn't LMIA or PNP. I m really worried about my application now. Will it get rejected?

Also I am trying to get another job but not being able to get a job at the same skill level. My savings are diminishing and I may have to take up entry level basic pay job. I want to know will it affect my PR in any way if I ended up in basic pay job, after submitting app under skilled job ?

no effect on your application , once you submitted the application your data and dates are locked

I took 2 weeks break from job to visit my home country for something urgent and had to extend 2 weeks more. My manager was not very happy coz of that. He found somebody to take up my work for less salary.
I dont care much about the job but I am really worried if all this would adversely affect my application in any way. I know i still need to be on good note with my manager as CIC will call him for verification.

I am not sure if my application will get through as my manager is not very keen to help me anymore. I can't trust him with anything now.

I submitted employment letter, T4, tax papers and 6 months pay stubs. I am very worried now about the verification call and my managers response.

I live in BC, should i move to some remote location and take up a job and start looking for LMIA or should i just wait? How long does CEC inland app takes usually? No spouse, no dependent, no foreign work exp cases.

My work permit is only valid for 10 more months. I cant apply BC pnp graduate stream as my degree was issued more than 2 years ago. I have really lost hope on my existing application. I want to take steps in advance so that i dont have to leave canada.

I think you should count on it taking 5-7 months. That way you might be positively surprised if it is approved sooner than that but you are prepared in case it takes longer.

OP needs to stop worrying.

Chances are application will go through fine. You have provided sufficient amount of documentation to support your employment at the company.
You need to rejoice for your achievement and move forward to your next challenge.

Invest your time in seeking proper employment relevant to your field.

As for informing CIC; I would recommend editing EE profile and unchecking "Is this your current job?"

Change it to the month you stopped working.

Hey Regular guy nothing to worry here. Concentrate more on finding new job. Your EE file will not be affected.No need to inform CIC, because same happened with me. But if you still want to do.Just open a CSE.
