Dear Forum Experts,

Hi, I am from India and I am about to submit my Express Entry Profile. And i have few queries related to it. I have gone through other threads on this site and have made many things clear. Thank you.
CRS tool shows 464 score. But i have few queries before i actually submit it.

1. Regarding Educational Qualification :
I have done BA (3 years), MA (2 years) (Clinical Psychology) WES Report says Equivalency - Bachelors (4 years)
Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Development (1 year) WES Report says Equivalency - Completion of a second undergraduate major
Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical & Applied Hypnosis (1 year) WES Report says Equivalency - Completion of a second undergraduate major
What should i select in Educational Qualification ?
Two or more certificates, diploma or degree ?

2. Spouse name on Passport:
I am married and have spouse name on my passport, but it took me months to add her name (special marriage & we want to retain her maiden name) So is it fine, if i dont add my name on her passport as her passport was made in 2009 and expires in 2019 and we married in 2011. I am the principal applicant. The process will take long time.

3. Pregnancy:
My wife is pregnant and due date is in April. So should i wait and apply later ? I have CLB level 9 and score will expire within a year and i have birth date in June, so that will reduce my 5 points as well.

Thanking you in anticipation

Yours Sincerely,
Hamza Ali

A: If this is correct you may get ITA in the next (or after that) draw itself. And you'll have 60 days time to file the eAPR, by that time if all goes well you may have the baby and his/her basic documents to include in the application as well. Please ensure appropriate PoF for a family of 3.

A:Yes, most certainly.

A: No issues with this one. Just have your Marriage certificate handy (translated and notarized if required).
3. Pregnancy:
My wife is pregnant and due date is in April. So should i wait and apply later ? I have CLB level 9 and score will expire within a year and i have birth date in June, so that will reduce my 5 points as well.
A: No need to wait, please apply immediately...whenever the new member arrives add him/her after you get the Birth certificate (translated & notarized if required) and then add the passport when ready. Birth date reduction (5 points) is inevitable and cannot be helped, just ensure you are above 67/100 on the FSWP points grid.
Thanking you in anticipation

Yours Sincerely,
Hamza Ali

Hi, your wife's medical will be put on hold until after the delivery because you shouldn't risk getting her Xray done while pregnant.

Dear Hamza Ali & Others,

I have a case very similar to Hamza Ali's with respect to educational credentials. My husband is the primary applicant and our CRS score is coming to 471 points, but we are really confused about selecting the right options for educational credentials in the Express Entry profile.

My husband's WES ECA report states the following for his Indian educational credentials:
1. B.Com from Mumbai University (3 years ) - WES equivalent - Bachelor's Degree (3 years)
2. M.Com from Mumbai University (2 years) - WES equivalent - Bachelor's Degree (4 years) - in conjunction with B.Com completed earlier
3. Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (2 years) - WES equivalent - Completion of a second undergraduate major (No duration mentioned)

Should we be choosing 'Two or more degrees, diplomas or certificates' or 'Bachelor's Degree' ? Really confused here as the WES equivalent for M.Com mentions 'in conjunction with B.Com completed earlier'. Also, uncertain whether 'Completion of second undergraduate major' can be treated as an independent degree/diploma/certificate.

@ Hamza Ali - I have a few questions for you.
1. Did your WES report also mention 'In conjunction with study earlier completed' for your MA?
2. Have you received you PR as of now? Did you application go through successfully after selecting 'Two or more degrees, diplomas, certificates'?

Would really appreciate some assistance here.

Thanks & Regards,
Rashmi
