Hey experts/Seniors...

I must firstly admit I would have been lost without this forum and the great advises I have gotten from this forum.

So I am now uploading my documents and my mind skips uncontrollably. I came across the section OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT, and also LETTER OF EMPLOYMENT.

Please what is the difference between these two and what documents should I upload in each section. I clearly said I do not have LMIA in my application.

I am applying under the CEC Inland category.

Secondly, in what section should I upload my birth certificate, because I do not see where I am asked to upload it.

Kindly advice.

Did you answer yes to job offer and no to LMIA? This document comes up when that happens.

Go back and change it to no for job offer and that second document requirement will go away.

But I have a Full time & Permanent job I'm working in right now in Canada. Would saying NO to Job Offer section contradict my present job?

No, you still list it as your current role in your employment history - it will simply remove the requirement to provide the extra documentation in the uploads.

I did not have to upload my birth certificate anywhere in my application. Just my passport scan.

Apart from what everybody already suggested, you don't need to upload your BC. It's required only for underage kids.

Good luck - this whole process turns normal, sane people into paranoid conspiracy theorists!

Will be so very happy once it is done!

So I have clicked NO on the "job offer" section, now neither the (offer of employment nor Letter of employment) is showing up again on the document check list. Does it mean my letter of reference must still state the CIC magical words "that i am working presently for the company on a Full time, permanent and Non-seasonal position?" I dread rejection if these three CIC magical words are missing in common reference letter.

Please advice.

From what I've learned from this forum,

Offer of Employment = An offer letter. or Employment Contract of "Current" employment
Letter of Employment = Literally a letter from the current employer that stating your current employment condition
Letter of Reference = A letter from 'Previous' employer that stating you have worked for them with explanation of your job condition such as job title, duty/responsibility, start/end date, salary, weekly work hours, and contact information.

If it's not correct, then I would like to learn and fix as well. Any experts?

ddlykitten... This is now confusing again.

are you applying with LMIA which is believe is also called Job offer?

For me I don't have an LMIA, thus I was not assigned 600 points. I am applying under the (CEC inland) as a GIS Analyst on a full-time position with a company here in Canada.

Is this case different from yours? Did you get 600 points for saying your have a job offer?

Somebody heeeeeeeelp!!!. I'm loosing my mind on this difference.

From the CIC website:

Document requirements

The personalized document checklist in MyCIC prompts the applicant with an upload field for each work experience declared.
At the completeness check, the processing office determines only whether the required documents are included. The validity or fraudulence of the information is assessed only if and when the application is placed into processing.

The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which

should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),

should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits;

If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and Notices of Assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years]).

Job status is full-time, part-time etc. This must be included.

If your employer can add the permanent/non-seasonal then great, if not it is only a 100% requirement for those with an LMIA.

I am not 100% confident about this as well. I remember this forum's consensus is, there is a difference between "JOB OFFER" and "VALID JOB OFFER"

When CIC asks "Do you have a job offer?" and should say yes if the person is working in Canada without LMIA. (i.e. PGWP, SOWP)
When CIC asks "Do you have a valid job offer?" and in this case we should have a job supported by LMIA

My hubby has been working in Canada for the past 3 years with the same company so we uploaded the same letter under 'offer of employment' and 'letter of employment'. He has an LMIA though so not sure if that makes a difference.
