Wives Birth certificate and Place of birth Mismatch on Passport

I got LOA on 8 Jan 2016 for Manitoba Canada and have prepared my CIC file but holding it back because of an issue, need your precious suggestions plz.

Wife is dependant applicant .

My wives Birth Certificate has wrong place of birth mentioned as Rampur, UP.
Whereas on Passport and all other educational documents it is correct : Kashipur, Uttarakhand.

I got LOA without any objection raised for different Place of birth on BC and passport.

Now am in confusion,
Whether to re-submit same BC
Or
Affidavit stating correct Place of Birth along with other supporting documents .

Issue is what should be explanation in affidavit ?

Looking for you gentle suggestions.
