Hi All,

I recived my PNP Nomination under NOC code 4163, and shortly after I recived my ITA under Express Entry. However I applied to PNP and EE using the NOC code 1123. Which fits my job and education requirements. I have no idea why BC PNP nominated me under the other NOC code, if they think its better thats totally fine- BUT what am I supposed to do with my application to PR. As far as I can see I have three options:

1. I apply for PR with a PNP for 4163, and work history and current job under 1123 and my application will be denied because this doesn't make sense.

2. I change my current job NOC to match my PNP however I recived an ITA under the NOC 1123 and to change the NOC may be grounds to deny the application- has anyone changes their NOC codes before after ITA and before applying for PR?

3. I get a corrected PNP under the NOC 1123 and hope that CIC accept this change and do not deny my application. I am not even sure if this is possible I have emailed BCPNP to ask!

4. Reject ITA, apply again and have my current job match my PNP NOC Code- Does anyone know if you reject your ITA and resubmit you profile do you still have your PNP nomination?

I am so worried now! Any help or guidance will is greatly appreciated!

Call or visit the BC PNP office. Ask why they gave you the wrong code and explain that you've already received your ITA. If they made a mistake with your NOC code then they should be able to correct it - if it's just a typo they can issue you a new certificate with the right code and then you'll just send that out with your PR package. It might also be that they deemed your credentials to be closer to 4163 than 1123, but my guess is that it's a pure human error.

Don't take your chances with knowingly leaving the contradicting codes in your papers - the discrepancy between the codes will be noted at CIC as soon as someone picks up your file to check eligibility. It's better to fix this now rather than wait months on end only to get pushed back to the start because of a re-evaluation or something. Good luck!

The same thing happened to me recently. I picked up my nomination certificate on a Friday and realized later that it was under a different NOC code than I applied under. I sent an email on Monday explaining my concerns, especially regarding possible problems with my PR application. I received a response the same day, the program advisor agreed with me, and my paperwork was adjusted accordingly within 4 days.

Hello RubyBlue,

I also faced the same issue with the SINP nomination, in my EE profile have selected 2173 and received the nomination under the 2171 and it is possible that 2171 is also a suitable category for me. and infact 2173 is the restricted category for SINP. I sent an email by asking the questions I dont know weather I made a mistake by asking them i feel scared if they revoke my nomination

Could you share your experience more so I can imagine.

Thanks,
Pinkesh

I am doing 2 jobs one is NOC 2232 and other is NOC 0911. PNP selected 0911 but I did my profile on basis of 2232.My IELTS score is according to NOC CODE 2232, you have been in similar situation, can you please tell me from your experience how did you solve your problem.
