Hi Guys,

I received ITA after last night draw but I am at client site and my family is in Canada. I will be back to canada in End of Jan 2016 and have immediate plan to travel to my home country (India) along with my family but I have to undergo Medical and PCC for myself and my dependents so I think I have tough timelines to meet 60 days deadline.

I am definitely going to postpone my travel plan to home country but want to ensure my wife/kid go as per the schedule.

I already sent my wife's passport for PCC and as soon as she will receive passport , Will book appointment for medical exam but will it be OK with CIC to have different dates of medical examination of myself and my dependents ?

Another question is - Whoever has filled n uploaded documents after ITA, Is there any document which Spouse has to signature? I just want to make sure . her part will be done before she will travel

Thanks in advance

There is no issue with different medical dates.
And there are no documents to sign. But even if there is something to sign, since everything is online you should be able to manage (unless they ask for Canada Police clearance during processing, in which case spouse needs to be present for RCMP biometrics).
If you have any relatives back in India, then you can get your PCC through them (by going to District Police/Commisioner's office).

Anyways wait for second opinion, some seniors may have different opinions from their experience.

Good luck for your PR!!!.

Don't go for PCC at District Police/Commissioner's office.
They give time bound and place bound certificates which is not accepted by CIC.
Have seen many cases got rejected because of that.
Go with Passport office issued PCC.

Best Regards,

Medicals can be on different dates, no problem there. Just make sure when you are first entering Canada as a PR that all the medicals have been done less than one year ago.

If you are the primary applicant and you are filling the application, there is no need for anybody to sign anything.

Guys thank you your prompt response. I am already working in Canada on WP since last 2 years and have my WP extended till 2017 already.
Last time , I had my PCC done via. BLS International (http://www.blsindia-canada.com) Canada in Nov 2014 which I believe was valid for 1 year. ...Isn't that the PCC , CIC would accept? PCC in Passport office in Delhi will take too much time and my trip is very short (1 month) , however family would stay lil longer in India (2-2.5 months)

Regarding Medicals , I will get my medical done once i return from client site to Canada and have my wife/kid medical exam done earliest possible.

BTW , we are planning to travel india for short trip of 2 months (Feb-Mar 2016) so I am sure CIC wouldn't give me PR till then so we should be good before the PR done

Thanks for sharing your opinion ... you have mentioned a good point about RCMP for Spouse . I see it was required in your case. As I mentioned , I have already sent my spouse passport for PCC to BLS International Canada so I am hoping to receive her passport stamped next week. Just need to know , Is that the PCC document, CIC would accept ?

When you initially apply you need PCC for India for yourself and spouse (the one you get through BLS).
During processing of your application CIC may ask you for Canada PCC, if CIC requests Police Clearance for Canada you will need to go to any RCMP authorized centers to get it done.
Don't worry about RCMP now (They will give you 60 days to submit, even if they ask).

There are various reasons they would request Canada PCC,(from my knowledge some are below)
1. Stayed in some notorious area in Canada.
2. No Last name in passport (this was my case)
3. Matching names in criminal database.
