As per CIC, a conviction of bodily harm against a relative may make a sponsor ineligible.

Any advice please :(. .... It does affect the open work permit application?
Yes, if the sponsor is not approved, the OWP would not be issued (or would be revoked if it was issued before sponsor was deemed ineligible).

What if you were charged with no jail time and the charges were withdrawn due to completion of a program (as the sponsor) ??? Can you still be ineligible

Is this considered a criminal record, thought you would have to be convicted

If the charges were withdrawn, then there was no conviction and therefore no issue.

Domestic violence against a relative, common law, live in girlfriend/boyfriend, anything of that nature can make a sponsor ineligible.

As per above in responses to the previous inquiry this may make him ineligible to be a sponsor.
